As the days get shorter and the days colder, we start to feel the Winter approaching. I am someone who loves the sun and as soon as it starts to loose its warmth I start to feel such loss and wish it had been a longer Summer (its never long enough for me!)

This year though I am going to take my lead from nature and turn my energy inwards. As the leaves turn, the trees give one final burst of beauty and then they rest for the Winter. Many of us feel overwrought and tired from the anxiety of the last 18 months and with staycation holidays not always being as relaxing as we would wish, we are often exhausted.

So seeing Winter not as a fallow time but as a time for regeneration and healing might give it another meaning. As the year begins to end, its the perfect time to set some simple goals for ourselves; such as giving in to rest and recovery, reading those books that have lain unread in front of the fire or catching up with precious people that nourish us.

So why not spend some time contemplating what you are going to do with those deep, soulful Winter days and refocus yourself this Autumn.
